Privacy Policy

Quiz Royale ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Quiz Royale mobile application and related services (the "Service"), how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The data controller for the Service is the operator of Quiz Royale.

We collect information in the following categories:

• Account information: username, display name, email address (from Google or Apple sign-in), country, optional school name, avatar and cosmetic selections.
• Gameplay data: quiz answers, scores, streaks, missions, achievements, adventure progress, battle history, rankings, friend connections, and in-app currency balances.
• Purchase information: subscription status, product identifiers, and transaction metadata from Apple, Google, or RevenueCat. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
• Device and app data: device type, operating system, app version, language, push notification tokens, and general usage events needed to operate the Service.
• Advertising data: advertising identifiers (such as IDFA on iOS when permitted), ad interaction events, and consent status for personalized ads.
• Communications: messages you send to support and feedback you voluntarily provide.

Directly from you when you create an account, complete your profile, play quizzes, make purchases, contact support, or change settings.

Automatically when you use the Service, including gameplay events, session logs, crash diagnostics, and anti-cheat signals.

From third parties such as Apple, Google, Supabase (authentication and database), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Expo (push delivery), and Google AdMob (advertising).

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and personalize the Service, including matchmaking, leaderboards, and learning progress.
• Process purchases, subscriptions, restores, and virtual currency grants.
• Send push notifications you opt into, such as battle invites, streak reminders, and engagement alerts.
• Display advertisements to free users and measure ad performance.
• Detect fraud, cheating, abuse, and security incidents.
• Improve gameplay balance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Communicate service updates, policy changes, and support responses.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data based on: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, analytics, improvement, advertising for free users), consent (push notifications and personalized ads where required), and legal obligation.

You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

• Service providers that help us operate the Service (cloud hosting, authentication, databases, push notifications, subscription management, analytics, and advertising).
• Other players see limited profile information such as username, avatar, rank, and public stats as part of multiplayer features.
• Platform stores (Apple and Google) process payments under their own privacy policies.
• Authorities or third parties when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate abuse.
• Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.

We use trusted processors including Supabase (data storage and authentication), RevenueCat (in-app purchase and subscription status), Expo Push Notification service, Google AdMob (ads), and cloud infrastructure providers. These processors handle data under contractual safeguards and only for specified purposes.

We retain account and gameplay data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Server logs and security records may be kept for a limited period. You may request account deletion as described below.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and server-side validation of gameplay and purchases.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong device passcode and keep your account credentials private.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact privacy@getquizroyal.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Users aged 13–17 should use the Service with parental permission where required by local law.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability where applicable.
• Withdraw consent for push notifications via in-app Settings or device settings.
• Limit ad tracking via iOS App Tracking Transparency and Android advertising settings.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing privacy@getquizroyal.com from the address linked to your account, or through the in-app support if available.

You can also submit a deletion request at https://getquizroyal.com/delete-account.

We may retain limited information where required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, or security purposes.

We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for transfers from the EEA/UK.

If you enable notifications, we store your device push token to deliver alerts about battles, learning reminders, chests, deals, and similar in-app events.

You can disable notifications in Profile → Settings or your device system settings at any time.

Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob. Ad partners may collect device identifiers and usage data subject to their policies and your consent choices.

On iOS, we request App Tracking Transparency permission before using the IDFA for personalized ads. You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Rewarded ads are optional and only load when you choose to watch them for in-game rewards.

When you subscribe to Quiz Royale Plus or purchase items, Apple or Google processes payment. We receive product identifiers, purchase timestamps, and subscription status through RevenueCat to unlock features on your account.

We do not receive your full payment card number. Refer to Apple's or Google's privacy policy for payment processing details.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the app and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated in-app or by email where appropriate.
